All ESL classes may be taken for Continuing Education credit by students who are not admitted to the University. For students who simply want to improve their English language skills in a university setting, each student in this category must take a placement test before enrolling in classes to insure the correct level. At the end of the semester, instead of a grade, students receive a certificate from the College of Continuing and Professional Studies.
