Academic Programs at S.W.E.E.P.

Child Development
The Child Development major leads to an Associate degree or a Bachelor Degree of Science.  The Plan of Study and courses are described in the Undergraduate Bulletin PDF.

Addiction Studies

The certificate of completion in Addiction Studies consists of twelve semester hours; half are required courses and half are elected by the students.  See the Undergraduate Bulletin PDF for details.

Addiction Studies courses are offered in the format of a single weekend (Friday evening and all-day Saturday).

Transfer students complete the major and General Education coursework in Southwest Detroit.

Michigan Works! has approved these programs for Individual Training Account eligibility and published program information to mycareereducation.org.

General Education courses are scheduled at S.W.E.E.P. to serve the students at that location.  Most General Education courses are open to all Madonna students on a space available basis.

Program advisor Tia Silva is available at the S.W.E.E.P. location.
