Curriculum Resources The Office of Service-Learning offers both services and resources on how to integrate service into your curriculum, such as one-on-one meetings to develop service-learning courses, guides on how to conduct service-learning courses, and the OS-L's "Entering and Exiting Communities Gracefully" service-learning orientation.
Steps for Designing a Service-Learning Course - Contact Kevin West, Director of the Office of Service-Learning, expressing your interest in service-learning. If possible, include syllabi of the course(s) you are interested in enhancing with service-learning.
- The Office of Service-Learning will then contact you and set up a meeting to discuss your course. During this meeting, the discussion focuses on how to integrate the learning objectives of the course with service-learning and the community partners who may benefit. In addition, you will receive resources related to building a service-learning course that the OS-L has compiled.
- After this meeting, the OS-L will act as a liaison between you and the community partner.
Course Syllabi examples Community Partnership Opportunities The Office of Service-Learning has established partnerships with the following organizations.
