| Spirituality (click to expand) The Spirituality Sub-committee is devoted to the spiritual activities that campus ministry provides for the Madonna students. Through participation in the many of the activities that this sub-committee provides, students can deepen their relationship with Christ. Some of the activities include Twilight Retreats, Weekend Retreats, Prayers Services, daily Mass, and Rosary led by students. These activities are open to all students. The Respect Life sub-committee devotes their time in brining the respect and dignity to all human life, especially the unborn. The unborn being precious gifts from God, the members participate in several activities that bring this truth to all on campus. There is promotion of both local, state and nation pro-life movements. There is special emphasis on the March for Life in Washington D.C., and also various activities on campus. Rooted in the deep Franciscan spirit of peace throughout the world, this sub-committee works to promote the values of peace and justice throughout the campus as well. The members promote such activities on campus as speakers, fundraising events of those in need, the annual Homeless Experience and the Alternative Spring Breaks. The members believe that service to those in need is one of the best works of charity that a student can render. Caritas Madonna, Caritas meaning Charitable Services, devote their time specifically to serving those in need through volunteering their time in several ways. Working with the Missionaries of Charity in their Soup Kitchen, Christmas for Kids, Gleaner’s, and the annual service trip to Mexico are the ways that the members of this sub-committee spend their time. |
